Haier launches Coupe range of refrigerators

Haier, the second largest refrigerator manufacturer globally, has launched a new range of side by side (SBS) refrigerators branded as the Coupe range. The new range is meant to convey the concepts of speed, style and togetherness.

Announcing the launch of the new range, Sudhir Tatia, director, sales and marketing, refrigerator division, Haier Appliances India, said, "In the hi-end segment, we have witnessed exponential growth over the last few months as the consumers these days have become a lot more informed and they are constantly looking at new technology and upgrading their products. The requirement for larger refrigerator storage space has also triggered the growth of this segment.''

"Innovation, functionality, durability, eco-compatibility and clear user-friendly functions were the criteria kept in mind while designing these models," Tatia added.

The company says the Coupe SBS as been designed especially for India, and the refrigerators comes with a wide electronic display panel for temperature control, providingexcellent performance and convenience to consumers. The temperature control panel for different sections of the refrigerator outside the door is a unique feature in this segment.

Haier says all SBS models are eco-friendly and meet all major international quality standards. Some of the other features of the new models are: automatic ice maker, foldable semi-shelf and wine bottle rack, extra big crisper and balconies offering a better and convenient storage space.

Haier said in a statement that its VC Fresh technology, used in the new range, uses a catalyst made of various elements including platinum to convert ethylene gas emitted naturally by fruits and vegetables into moisture, which keeps the products fresh.
