Hindustan Construction to build two underground stations for Delhi Metro, developing Lavasa hill resort

Hindustan Construction Corporation (HCC) has received three major orders in the transportation and water sector worth Rs983 crore, including two underground railway stations and a tunnel between New Delhi and Talkatora Garden stations for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

The value of the Delhi Metro project is estimated at Rs774.64 crore, of which HCC''s share would be around Rs256 crore. The company has also been mandated by the Bombay Municipal corporation to execute two water tunnel construction projects valued at Rs727 crore.

HCC says its 100 per cent real estates subsidiary, HCC Real Estate Ltd, is developing the largest hill resort project neat Pune at Lavasa,

According to the company, it has so far met a sales target of Rs300 crore at Lavasa , where Fortune, Novotel, Grand Mercure and Sheraton have already tied up to develop hotels.

It says Lavasa will boast a hospitality learning centre with participation of Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL) and a hospital-cum wellness centre from Apollo Hospitals.
