HospiMedica India Expo to be held in Hyderabad from Friday

Hyderabad:The leading event for the medical industry in India,HospiMedica India will be staged for the ninth time, inthe city of Hyderabad, at India's most advanced tradefair ground, Hitex, from 14-16 February 2003.

Thisis the first time this event will be showcased in thesouthern part of the country. Hitex is India's mostadvanced fairgrounds built on international standardsof trade fair technology. The industry feedback on theshift of venue has also been very positive.

Thisannual event is being organised by Messe Duesseldorf GmbH,the organisers of Medica and their Indian subsidiary CidexTrade Fairs Pvt Ltd, along with FICCI, which is also theconference organiser. Supported by the Apollo Hospitalsgroup and Medica this event will once again bring togetherthe entire network of medical professionals, hospitals,diagnostic centres and equipment manufacturers on a singleplatform to conduct meaningful business in the right environment.

Thebroad scope of the exhibition covers areas like medicalequipment, hospital supplies, diagnostics, disaster managementand rehabilitation. Covering a gross area of 2000 sq mt,there are over 80 participants. Besides Indian companiesthere is a sizeable international participation.

Thereis group participation from Germany, Austria and Chinaand individual participation from Israel, the UK, Singapore,Russia, Hungary, France and Italy. Major Indian corporates,including L&T Medical, Siemens India, Philips MedicalSystems, India Department of Atomic Energy, BD India,Reliance Life Sciences, B.Braun Medical and BOC India,are participating in this show.

IndianHealth Congress, organised by FICCI, is another attractionof this event. FICCI has been the voice of the Indianindustry and they have once again risen to the occasionby highlighting the concerns of the medical and healthcareindustry in this conference.

ApolloHospitals, Hyderabad, is organising visits to their state-of-the-arthospital complex during the show days. These visits willhelp the participants and delegates specially the internationalones to understand the functional mechanism and natureof local requirements, at Indian hospitals.
