Huawei to bring new features to its Emotion User Interface

25 Jun 2016

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is bringing new features to its Emotion User Interface (EMUI) Android interface. Additionally, Huawei is also planning a visual overhaul of EMUI.

The new Android OS interface would offer features available on other Android smartphones as well, but with Huawei's own touch, The Information website reported.

Huawei's EMUI had been seen as a cheap knock-off of Apple's iOS.

The upcoming EMUI is said to be more familiar for users in western countries like the US.

The project is spearheaded by Abigail Brody, who was formerly a designer at Apple.
