L&T Heavy Engineering wins 'significant' orders in domestic and overseas markets

L&T Heavy Engineering has bagged a significant order from a key oil and gas customer in Saudi Arabia for a key debottlenecking project. The order, won by the modification, revamp and upgrade segment is an important milestone for the MRU business that has concentrated on Middle East opportunities, says an L&T release.

L&T Heavy Engineering’s MRU segment also secured important projects in the domestic market. These include a DCU revamp project from one of the leading refineries as also a critical Coke Drum repair project from IOCL Gujarat Refinery. 

Besides these, L&T Heavy Engineering’s Process Plant Equipment has secured orders for several critical equipment in the overseas market. These include 2 EO reactors from a leading global chemical company in Thailand, Cr-Mo-V reactors for an oil project in Saudi Arabia, large stainless steel column for NGL project in Australia and heat exchanger from a leading industry player in the US.

In the domestic market, L&T Heavy Engineering received orders to manufacture VGO reactor, critical Cr-Mo-V reactor, and proprietary design high pressure heat exchangers for a refinery project. The business also secured an order for carbamate condenser from RCF Mumbai for their urea plant.  

 All the orders were won against stiff international competition, demonstrating L&T HE’s competitiveness and track record of on-time delivery and reliable performance, according to the company.

L&T’s classification of significant orders include those in the Rs1,000-2,500 range.
