IOL Broadband Ltd today said in a filing with the stock exchanges that it is set to offer three main channel bouquets available in India — Star Bouquet, OneAlliance (including Sony) and the Zee Turner Bouquet totalling to over 60 Premium Pay IPTV channels — along with 90 free-to-air channels.

The company says a credible option to CAS and DTH has now become available for the first time in India that would provide traction to IPTV.

IOL Broadband says that it was the first company to launch IPTV recently in India.

According to A S Oberai, director, IOL Broadband, the introduction of commercial services by IOL IPTV on fibre and ADSL networks has enabled India to join an elite club of developed countries like the UK, the US, Japan and Korea among others, where IPTV has been introduced.

According to the company IPTV has been experiencing exponential growth, with a global investment of over $50 billion dollars, signifying a major shift from traditional media to 21st century interactive IPTV technology.
