McNally Bharat wins Rs24.38 crore government order for border work in Tripura

McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd (MBE), a provider of turnkey solutions in the power, steel and aluminium sector among others, today said it has bagged an order for construction work in Tripura, near the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The contract, awarded by the National Projects Construction Corporation, is valued at Rs24.38 crore and is to be executed in eleven months.

The work comprises designing, engineering, equipment supply, civil work, structural work, erection and commissioning of flood lighting along Indo-Bangladesh Border in Tripura.

This is the fourth big order that the company has bagged since the past two months. In February, MBE had received two orders for the smelter projects of Hindalco collectively worth around Rs56.64 crore. It also bagged an Rs80 crore order last month from the West Bengal Power Development Corporation for supplying equipments.

MBE is engaged in providing turnkey solutions in the areas of power, steel, alumina, material handling, mineral beneficiation, coal washing, ash handling and disposal, port cranes, civic and industrial water supply etc.

Based in Kolkata, the company is jointly owned by the Williamson Magor group and the G P Birla group.
