Now users can email-enable basic WAP mobile handsets

Web and mobile application development IT firm, Adroit Claretdene Infotech, and part of the UK-based Claretdene, says it is offering users a free mobile email solution, email@mobile, to access their emails on any basic GPRS enabled mobile phone operational with any mobile service provider in the world..

Users can now use their existing mobile phone with WAP 1.2 browser capability onwards to wirelessly access their e-mail just like they access their web mail over a web browser, without having to install any software on the handset.

They can read text / attachments, reply or compose new email, delete or send emails from a basic mobile handset, without having to either buy any smartphone / PDA nor install any software on the mobile phone. All that is required is a mobile phone capable of internet browsing.

email@mobile is based on industry standard POP and IMAP; and is designed to work well with hosted email services and all POP / IMAP supported mail servers like MS Exchange, Lotus Dominos and Novell GroupWise.

"email@mobile has been specifically designed to equip working professionals on the move, with mobile email facility, irrespective of their mobile handset or mail server architecture and without having to pay anything." explained Arvind V, CEO, Adroit Claretdene Infotech. "However if any organisation would like to deploy this software on their server, they can buy the corporate edition of email@mobile."
