Plaza Centers to invest Rs3,000 crore for first mall in Pune

Shopping and entertainment centers developer Plaza Centers India, has unveiled the scale model of its first mall, Koregaon Park Plaza in Pune.

It said in a press release that it plans to invest over Rs3,000 crore in the coming years by setting up six new malls across India, the malls are planned in Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi and one more in Pune.

It  also said that it had formed an alliance with PVR Cinemas to become its multiplex partner, which would mark PVR's entry into Pune.

The mall will be designed  across 400,000 square feet with an infrastructure that allows maximum light and air circulation. It will have a total of 14 lifts and staircases to allow easy accessibility of levels to customers.

It will have three levels of underground parking, which will be able to accommodate 1,100 cars and 950 two-wheelers.

The release quoted Ran Shtarkman, president and CEO, Plaza Centers, ''We are proud of our first venture launch in Pune and we plan to follow it up with six more such state-of-the-artmalls in the country in the near future."
