Spenta Multimedia acquires Mumbai Boat Show

Spenta Multimedia, India's leading custom publisher with a portfolio of over 20 custom and four consumer magazines, has acquired Mumbai Boat Show Pvt Ltd, owner of Mumbai International Boat Show and Blue Water Publications Pvt Ltd, publishers of India Boating magazine.

The Mumbai International Boat Show, which is supported by the government of Maharashtra, is the only third 'official' calendar event in Mumbai, after the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon and The Times of India Mumbai Festival.  The boat show is now in its fourth year.

A first of its kind in the Indian market, India Boating magazine offers its readers the finest in product research and lifestyle reporting.

Proprietor Maneck Davar believes the Indian luxury lifestyle market is seeing a fast emerging nautical culture.

The leisure marine market is growing as global players in the marine industry are only increasing in the Mumbai International Boat Show. Spenta Multimedia has for some time now been focusing on developing publishing and event properties in the luxury lifestyle segment.

The group began with Hair magazine in 2007, followed by our acquisition of 'Marwar' magazine and the Marwar Mega Wedding and Marwar Lifestyle shows from Arpan Publishing in early 2008.

Spenta also publishes Solitaire International, India's best known monthly trade publication in the gem and jewellery industry.

The decision to acquire Mumbai International Boat Show and India Boating magazine was a logical step in expanding the group's presence in the luxury lifestyle segment.
