Diversified logistics service provider Transport Corporation of India (TCI) is planning to set up a chain of integrated logistics parks and commercial and residential properties across the country.

TCI said it would invest up to Rs300 crore to develop 20 integrated logistics parks and commercial and residential properties over the next 3 to 4 years.

The plan is to set up the logistics parks first and develop and develop land in and around the parks for commercial and residential purposes.

"We will set up 20 logistics parks across the country and develop land for real estate and commercial purposes through our demerged real estate and warehousing division TCI Developers," TCI executive director Vineet Agarwal said, adding the cost could be around Rs200-300 crore.

He, however, said the cost could vary and only be known when the project gets started.

TCI is mainly looking at the National Capital Region, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Indore and Kolkata for the residential and commercial projects, Agarwal said.
