Twin Cities a market of resellers, not dealers: Computer dealers

Hyderabad: The three-day IT Product Expo, an exhibition for hardware, software products and services of IT and telecom industry has kicked off.
K V R Menon, president of Twin Cities Computer Dealers Association (TCCDA), cut the ribbon and later lit the traditional lamp together with Syed Ishaq Ahmed, regional manager, Aditya Infotech, to mark the inauguration.
Speaking to media
persons immediately after the inauguration, Menon said:
IT expos like this must be organised quite often,
at least once in six months. Information is knowledge,
and knowledge is power. Knowledge can be disseminated
by way of mass media as well as well expos like this.
He added that ten members of TCCDA are participating in the expo. I am sure that there would be more positive response from its members in the future. And I thank the organisers for offering special packages for association members.
Speaking about the activities of the association, Menon said: The association, which has 114 trader members and 27 corporate members, is a common platform for dealers to air their grievances. It began with 40 members five years back and today has 141 and is expected to cross 200 members by the end of the year. Twin Cities has more than 300 dealers, with a combined sales turnover of over Rs 150 crore per annum.
Some of the participating products and companies include AMD, Aditya Infocom, Bestron Copiers, Birla 3M, Cache Peripherals, Compage Computers, Comprint, Convergence Digest, Digit Magazine, Epson, HP, Excel Media, Fraser Techno Circuits, HCL Infosystems, ICN-Indian Computer Trade News, Idea Cellular, III rd i, Jitendra Infotech (E-Monitor), Jupiter Infosys, LG Electronics India, NEcX , Neoteric Infomatique, Numeric Power Systems, Plus Business Machines, Philips Sound Solutions, Rational Business Corp (Desmatech), SV Digital Large Format Printers, SV Electronics, Microsoft Hardware, SK Graphics, Snowebs Software Technologies, Softpal Consultants, Stickmail and Tally.
