Premier Inn, a leading hotel chain in the UK, today opened its joint venture mid-market hotel in Bangalaru (Bangalore), which would cater to business and leisure travelers seeking quality budget accommodation.

The hotel, located at Whitefield in Banaglaru, has 105 well-appointed rooms and offer facilities like a multi-cuisine restaurant, gymnasium, bar and conference rooms and would target IT corporates.

"There is a huge demand for cost-effective and quality rooms from both corporates and individual travellers," Aly Shariff, managing director of Premier Inn India, said.

The hotel is developed and operated under a joint venture agreement with Premier Travel Inn India Limited, to offer limited services.

Premier Inn India and associates hold 50.1 per cent of the issued share capital of the joint venture. These hotels will be priced at a level to appeal to business and leisure travelers seeking quality mid-market hotel accommodation, Aly said.

Premier Inn, part of UK's Whitbread Plc, plans to launch a 142-room hotel in New Delhi in late 2010 and a 152-room hotel in Pune in early 2011. It has also plans to set up two other properties in two other cities, Aly said, without elaborating.

"We also subsequently plan to look at other metros and tier two cities", Aly said.
