Amazon looks to convert closed LU ticket offices into pick up points

It might not be possible for tube travellers to get tickets from London Underground (LU) ticket offices for much longer, but they might be able to pick up books, gadgets and other stuff they shopped online.

According to a report, Amazon has been in talks with LU for its ticket offices that are due to close as part of the Tube's plans to run round the clock services.

According to The FT.com website, "Transport for London said it was talking to Amazon... about converting its ticket offices to ''drop-off'' points for its goods."

Though the company declined comment, it had been reported this week that grocery chain Asda has struck a deal for customers to pick up their groceries at London Underground and train stations.

According to the supermarket, it would help customers who wanted to shop online but were not at home during the day to accept deliveries.
