12 Nov 2014

While e-marketplace operator Flipkart had faced much criticism for its 'Big Billion Day' sale last month, the 'Snapdeal Savings Day' met with similar results with customers posting grievances on Snapdeal's 11/11 shopping event that got off to an early morning start yesterday, DNA reported.

While one of the shoppers dubbed 'Snapdeal' as 'Crapdeal' for its handling of the sale, others complained about not being able to access the website.

Some shoppers who managed to buy a product couldn't complete the transaction as the payment page kept getting stuck or hung.

The Snapdeal mobile app too failed to provide support with buyers even as buyers struggled with error messages and network issues.

However, the 'Amazon Appines Day 11/11, though a rather low profile event had users gushing over the deals as also the convenience.

It was much like Flipkart's Big Billion Day sale on 6 October, which sparked much social media outrage over technical glitches, marked up prices and limited stocks(See: Government to look into complaints against Flipkart's 'Big Billion Day' sale).
