Accenture India’s best employer, finds survey

23 Oct 2012

A new survey has placed Accenture as India's most favoured or attractive company to work for, followed by Bharti Airtel, Infosys, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

In all, six Indian companies have made it in the list of the world's 20 most desirable organisations to work for.

The survey was conducted among 334 recruiters by professional networking site LinkedIn. Others in the list are Wipro Technologies, HCL Technologies and – somewhat surprisingly - Mahindra Satyam.

Perhaps not so surprisingly, all the employers making it to the top 20 apart from Airtel are information technology firms.

Globally, Google Inc has topped the list of the most desired employers.

The survey was a part of LinkedIn's newly launched Talent Brand Index, a new, free service which measures the strength of employer brands and offers new insights into how they can improve their ability to attract top talent.

''Talent remains the one distinctive asset that companies must build and nurture to retain their competitive edge. The three companies of Indian origin that feature in the top 10 list of most in-demand employers - Bharti Airtel, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services - are testimony to the increased importance of developing and maintaining employer brand by Indian corporates,'' said Irfan Abdulla, director talent solutions, LinkedIn India.
