US realty firm employees get tattooed for raise

02 May 2013

Dozens of employees of a real estate company have taken up the company's offer to get tattooed in exchange for a raise.

CBS 2's Emily Smith reported yesterday, a tattoo could be a way to show one's personality, but for Rapid Realty employees, it would be the fast track to a 15-per cent pay raise if they got inked with the company logo.

The offer comes with no bar on size or location, one employee got hers behind the ear.

Another employee got tattooed two weeks ago and, got with a permanent pay raise for every real estate transaction.

The idea however, was not that of the company owner Anthony Lolli. He said he got it from a loyal employee who was not doing it for money.

Lolli said the employees who got inked got a lot of respect from the other agents with the amount of commitment that they had,  a report in AOL Jobs reported.

The tattoos, which could cost up to $300 were paid for by the company owner.

Lolli who had not got inked yet, told CBS New York he planned to eventually.
