BSE to suspend firms for non-submission of quarterly results

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which regularly monitors the status of issuer compliance to various requirements of the Listing Agreement, says 27 companies have failed to submit results for the quarters ending September and December 2002 as per the requirements of Clause 41 of the agreement.

"The said companies were issued show-cause notices and reminders. But the companies have failed to comply with the requirements," says Dr Bandi Ram Prasad, chief economist and general manager (corporate communications), BSE. "So, the BSE has decided to suspend trading in the securities of the said 27 companies with effect from 2 June 2003 until further notice."
