Sensex listless; GAIL touches 52-week low, BPCL falls 3%

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty stayed listless since the early trade on expiry day. Hero Motocorp, GAIL and BPCL topped the selling list, falling 3% each while Jindal Steel was the top gainer among largecaps, gaining over 3%.
The BSE benchmark moved up just 5.57 points to 17,156.86 and the NSE benchmark was flat at 5,201.90. The broader markets too were lacklustre today.

Shares of GAIL India, country's largest gas transmission and marketing company, touched a 52-week low of Rs 324.65 on Thursday. The stock fell as much as 3.55% intraday.
Index heavyweights Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro gained 0.2% each. India's top IT exporters TCS and Infosys were up 1.23% and 0.9%, respectively.
Cigarette major ITC was up over 1% while FMCG company HUL declined 1%.
