SEBI regional offices to receive offer documents for issue sizes up to Rs500 crore

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has directed companies wanting to raise up to Rs500 crore from the market to file offer documents with the concerned regional offices of the board under the jurisdiction of which the registered office of the issuer company falls.

SEBI has advised merchant bankers to file draft offer documents / offer documents with the concerned
office of the board, based on the estimated issue size.
 
For the northern region covering Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttarakhand, offer documents for issue sizes of up to Rs500 crore may be made at SEBI Northern Regional Office, 5th Floor, Bank of Baroda Building, 16 Sansad Marg, New Delhi - 110 001.

For the eastern region covering Assam, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Orissa, West Bengal, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Jharkhand, the offer documents may be filed at SEBI Eastern Regional Office, 3rd Floor, L & T Chambers, 16 Camac Street, Kolkata - 700 017.

For the southern region covering Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, documents may be filed at SEBI Southern Regional Office, D'Monte Building, 3rd Floor, No 32, D'Monte Colony, TTK Road, Alwarpet, Chennai 600 018.

For the western region covering Gujarat, Rajasthan, documents may be filed at SEBI Western Regional Office, Unit No 002, Ground Floor, SAKAR I, Near Gandhigram Railway Station, Opposite Nehru Bridge, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad – 380 009.

For Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Daman and Diu and Chhattisgarh, the documents may be filed at SEBI Head Office, SEBI
Bhavan, Plot No C4-A, ''G'' Block, Bandra Kurla
Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400051.

SEBI has asked merchant bankers to file three copies of the draft offer documents / one copy of the offer documents with the concerned offices.

The amendments will be effective for all draft offer documents for issues, which are filed with SEBI on or after 14 May 2012, SEBI said.
