New York: The Nasdaq Stock Market has unveiled its redesigned consumer website: www.nasdaq.com. The new site offers users a strong array of new personalised content and features, while enhancing the visibility and highlighting the unique attributes of Nasdaq-listed companies to existing and potential investors.

Nasdaq.com, a leader among financial websites, has attracted more than 6.5 million unique visitors to the site since May 2002 and nearly 200 million page views per month. The site offers comprehensive data for securities listed on all major global exchanges, US equity options and mutual funds, as well as pre-market and after-hours extended trading data.

Nasdaq is committed to providing investors with the highest quality tools and information available to help them make well-informed investment decisions, says John Delta, vice-president and general manager, Nasdaq.com. Nasdaq.coms new format, coupled with even more high-quality information that users have come to expect from Nasdaq, will improve our users experience on Nasdaq.com and help provide increased transparency to investors.

The newest advanced personal finance tools and services now available at Nasdaq.com include:

  • My Nasdaq: Allows users to customise the Nasdaq.com homepage with up to 10 favourite stocks showing price, price change, volume, latest news and events for each and provides the top news headlines in real time.
  • Guru Analysis: Found only on Nasdaq.com, this tool captures the wisdom of nine of the most influential investing minds. Using the simulated methodologies of experts such as Peter Lynch and Benjamin Graham, the resource provides a fundamental breakdown of a stock based on the detailed criteria of each method.
  • Microsoft® .NET Alerts: This free service lets users receive important messages through MSN®Messenger or Windows®Messenger, email, or a mobile device.
  • Interactive Charts: Advanced Java-based charts allow for customised views and indicators. Users may select from among five unique chart styles and popular technical analysis studies, such as: Bollinger Bands, MACD (Moving Average Convergence / Divergence), Stochastics, Relative Strength Index, and more.
  • Stock Screening: Allows users to create their own screen using criteria from categories like Price / Volume, Valuation, Growth Rates, Ownership, Analyst Projections, Profitability, and Financial Strength, or choose from predefined screens such as Growth Stocks, Income Stocks, Value, and Sentiment Stocks.
  • XP Ticker: The Nasdaq XP Logo Ticker is a Microsoft Windows executable that is easily installed to enable Nasdaq.coms highly regarded Logo ticker to launch and provide quotes, news and other valuable investor information in the XP environment.

According to a recent study by iPerceptions, a website survey firm, Nasdaq.com received one of the highest rankings in terms of user trust and data reliability among websites surveyed by the firm. The new site should increase Nasdaq.coms lead in these two critical areas.
