Nasscom, TFCI to host BPO, IT outsourcing summit in Chennai

Mumbai: National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) and Trade Fairs and Conferences International (TFCI) will jointly host ‘Nasscom Outsource India 2003,’ an IT outsourcing and BPO (business process outsourcing) summit in Chennai on 21 January 2003.

The event is focused on providing Indian software and service companies a unique opportunity to understand client mindsets, fine-tune their business strategy and explore ways to improve client relations in the US and European markets.

The summit will hear two global outsourcing consultants, Michael Corbett and Nigel Roxbough. Corbett, in his address, will cover key areas such as trends and insights on outsourcing in the US; procuring and managing federal government outsourcing contracts; customer organisation dynamics and outsourcing vendor selection; managing client relationships and addressing political issues related to outsourcing.

On the other hand Roxbough will cover areas such as the BPO opportunity for Indian outsourcing vendors; overview and prospects of outsourcing in the UK and European markets; process mapping, migration and outsourcing of projects; and how Indian vendors can help prospective customer to scope and develop outsourcing propositions.
