The Supreme Court has cancelled the bails granted to PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Subramani Gopalakrishnan and Satyam's internal auditor VS  Prabhakar Gupta, and asked them to surrender by 30 April.

Their bail has been cancelled by a bench comprising justice P Sathasivam and justice B S Chauhan. The bench has directed them to surrender within this period, failing which, the central investigative agency would initiate steps to arrest them.

The apex court, had, on 18 April  reserved its order, saying it was cancelling the bail of the accused after looking into allegations in the chargesheet filed by the CBI.

The orders were passed on the plea of the investigating agency that sought cancellation of bail granted to Gopalakrishnan, partner of the global auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and Gupta, internal audit head of the scam-hit IT firm Satyam Computers.

The bail granted to the duo had been challenged by the CBI in the alleged Rs14,000 crore Satyam scam.

The CBI plea was opposed by the accused's counsels who submitted that the investigating agency had approached the apex court 10 months after the order passed by high court.
