Shekhar Dasgupta joins Solix as president and COO

Hyderabad: Solix Technologies, the leading global provider of information lifecycle management solutions has appointed Shekhar Dasgupta as president and COO.

Before joining Solix, Dasgupta was managing director of Oracle India. He is responsible for growing Oracle, India from the 10th to the 5th largest IT company in the Asia Pacific division, including Japan. One of his key initiatives included establishing the Oracle-HP e-Governance Center of Excellence.

The founder and CEO of Solix, Sai Gundavelli said, "Solix Technologies is redefining information lifecycle management. Dasgupta holds a postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) from IIM-Bangalore and has an economic honours degree from Presidency College, Kolkata. He has attended an executive management programme at the INSEAD Asia School in Singapore He has also been a charter member of TiE and a member of AMCHAM, CII, NASSCOM and governing council of the IIIT. He is an occasional speaker at public forums and in academia like IIM.
