SUN chairman joins Russia''s Foreign Investment Advisory Council

Mumbai: The Russian Prime Minister has appointed Nand Khemka, chairman of SUN Group, a member of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC) under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr Kasyanov.

Formed in 1994, FIAC consists of 20 leading multinational industrial and financial enterprises that work with the Russian government to enhance Russia's appeal to foreign investors, attract capital to Russian economy and improve the existing legal framework for investments.

In a company press release, Mr Khemka said he considered it a great honour to serve on FIAC. He said this is a sign of recognition by the Russian government of the SUN Group's many years of operations and investments in Russia.

The SUN Group is an industrial and financial investment group operating in Russia, India, Europe and USA. The group has been operating in the former Soviet Union since 1958 and it is one of the leading foreign investors in Russia and CIS.
