GPT-4 Turbo: Microsoft enhances its AI along with the Copilot service

Microsoft is gearing up to revolutionize its Copilot service by incorporating several new features, including the integration of OpenAI’s cutting-edge models. One of the key highlights of these updates is the impending support for GPT-4 Turbo in Copilot, which is expected to launch soon.

Yusuf Mehdi, Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, announced the imminent changes in a recent blog post. According to Mehdi, Copilot will soon be capable of generating responses using OpenAI’s latest model, the GPT-4 Turbo. This enhancement will empower users to tackle more complex and lengthy tasks. Mehdi noted that the model is currently undergoing testing with selected users and will be widely integrated into Copilot in the coming weeks.

The integration of GPT-4 Turbo is anticipated to significantly elevate Copilot’s contextual understanding. With a substantial 128K context window, the new model will enable Copilot to provide more insightful and accurate responses.

In addition to the GPT-4 Turbo integration, Microsoft introduces an updated DALL-E 3 model to Copilot and Bing Image Creator. This update allows users to create higher-quality and more accurate images directly within the Copilot interface. According to Mehdi, these capabilities are now accessible through bing.com/create or by prompting Copilot to generate an image.

While users eagerly anticipate the arrival of the GPT-4 Turbo model, Microsoft has already implemented an enhanced DALL-E 3 model in Bing Image Creator and Copilot. This ensures that users can now create images that are not only of higher quality but also more accurate to the given prompts.

Microsoft Edge, equipped with a Copilot sidebar, receives noteworthy upgrades. Users can compose text within website text inputs for inline sentence rewriting. Furthermore, Copilot in Microsoft Edge introduces the ability to summarize videos watched on platforms like YouTube, providing users with a more efficient and interactive browsing experience.

For coders and developers, Microsoft is in the process of developing a new code interpreter feature for Copilot. This innovative functionality empowers users to receive precise calculations, data analysis, and even code from the AI chatbot.

On the Bing front, Microsoft introduced “Deep Search” within its search results. Powered by GPT-4, Deep Search harnesses the model’s capabilities to deliver optimized search results for complex topics. Activating Deep Search expands search queries into more comprehensive descriptions to provide more relevant and accurate results.
