AI to resume flights to Yangon, Bagdogra

Kolkata: Air India has announced that it plans to resume operations to Yangon from the first week of October.
Air India had suspended its flights to Yangon on account of low load factors and bad weather during the monsoons.
The resumption of services was was announced by the airline's corporate communications' manager Sameek Bhattacharya.
He said that the service would have two flights a week, one on Monday and another on Friday.
Air India's flight on Mondays would be a direct flight, while on Friday's it would fly via Gaya.
Additionally, Air India will also operate an additional flight on 29 September on the Kolkata-Yangon-Kolkata sector, to cater to pilgrims.
Air India is also reintroducing its service to Bagdogra starting 1 September. The service will operate five days a week , and there would be additional flights on the Kolkata-Bagdogra-Kolkata sector between 14 September 9 November on account of the festive season rush.
