AirAsia India launches year-long cut-fare offer starting at Rs600

Continuing to lead the airfare wars, south India-based budget carrier AirAsia India is offering promotional fares at starting Rs600 for a full year on tickets bought till 31 August - for travel between 26 October 2014 and 24 October 2015.
Under this offer, all-inclusive fares between Bangalore and Chennai or Kochi are priced from Rs600 onwards. For Bangalore-Goa, the promotional fares start from Rs900.
On the Bangalore to Chandigarh and Jaipur routes, the fares start from Rs1,900.
AirAsia India currently operates in the Bangalore to Kochi, Chennai, and Goa sectors. From 5 September it will start flights from Bangalore to Jaipur and Bangalore to Chandigarh. This would be the carrier's first push into north India.
AirAsia India, a three-way venture between Malaysia-based AirAsia Berhad, the Tata Group and investment firm Telestra Tradeplace, had launched its maiden flight on 12 June.
Meanwhile, another budget carrier SpiceJet is offering all-in fares from Rs1,888 under a festive season offer.
This limited-period offer is valid on bookings till 27 August 2014 for travel between 25 September 2014 and 15 January 2015.
