Emirates has announced a downward revision across on a range of its Business and Economy Class air fares, for tickets issued in the UAE to over a dozen popular destinations including cities in India, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.

With the fuel prices returning to more rational levels, Emirates has decided to reduce fares between seven to 35 per cent on selected Emirates flights, including those flying to Amman, Damascus, Bangkok, Mumbai, Kozhikode, Paris, Colombo, Cochin, Delhi, Frankfurt, Munich, Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Zurich.

Adnan Kazim, senior vice president commercial operations for the Gulf, Middle East and Iran regions for Emirates said that the demand for Emirates' flights has remained robust, and the airline was glad to be able revise fares in tandem with the lowering fuel prices. He said that the airline believes its customers would welcome the latest round of fare revisions in light of the increasingly challenging economic climate.

In August 2008, Emirates had announced its first fare revision on account of a lowering of oil prices for tickets issued in the Middle East and markets in the Gulf Cooperating Council (GCC) to over 20 cities in Europe, Far East and the Middle East.

Dubai – based Emirates flies to 101 cities across six continents. On 26 October, Emirates will start non-stop services between Dubai and Los Angeles three times a week.
