Mumbai: Mumbai-based low cost carrier, GoAir, has announced it will offer return tickets for zero fare under a new scheme GoHappy Fare. It said the scheme will be available only on select destinations, certain days and seats.
The scheme is being offered in addition to already existing offers, GoSave and GoFlexi. The airline said it plans to have the scheme as a permanent product in its portfolio.
Tickets for the scheme can only be booked through the airline's website. The policy is intended to increase its share of direct early bookings from the current 34% to 50%.
Commenting on the scheme, Edgardo Badiali, chief executive officer, GoAir said "By offering our passengers GoHappy Fares, we are ensuring that these customers get the best deal on their early bookings."
GoAir currently commands a market share of 4.5%.
