New Delhi: Thai Airways will launch a four-times-a-week 'daylight service' between Delhi and Bangkok from 16 May. The new service, according to an airline statement, will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Thai will deploy a Boeing 747 jumbo on the service. The aircraft, with 388 seats, will offer 64 seats in the business class.

The flight will depart Delhi at 12.05 pm and reach Bangkok at 6 pm.

The launch of the service will take the total number of flights on the Delhi-Bangkok route up to 11 a week for Thai, as it already operates a daily night time flight.

From 1 July, Thai will operate three additional flights every week from Bangalore and Mumbai for Bangkok.
