Troubled Kingfisher Airlines still tops the favourites chart
02 Dec 2011
Kingfisher Airlines, troubled by mounting financial woes, continues to be the favourite among the country's airlines, along with rival Jet Airways, according to a survey.
While Kingfisher has been ranked the best Indian airline for entertainment, food and beverages as also service and maintenance, Jet Airways has taken the lop position for landing and take-off quality and ground handling.
Kingfisher had topped the 2010 edition of the annual survey conducted by travel advisory portal TripAdvisor.
''The survey rings in some good news for woe-ridden Kingfisher Airlines. Despite recent turbulent times, consumers have given a clear thumbs-up to the airline as a favourite carrier, which is topping most service and experience parameters,'' said Nikhil Ganju, country manager, TripAdvisor India.
Indigo has topped ranking based on 'on time performance' and 'value for money' two years in a row. Indigo, in fact, bettered its own raking with a 15 per cent increase in its rating from last year.
National carrier Air India remained the least favourite airline for a second year in a row.
