India-Chile to sign air services pact

Santiago: With Indian president Pratibha Patil set to conclude her three nation visit to Latin America with a trip to Chile, India will sign four agreements, including an air services pact, with this influential South American country. The trip to Chile is part of India's attempt to place increasing emphasis on South-South cooperation.
Arriving here from Mexico late last night, on a four-day visit, Patil landed to a red-carpet welcome.
Amongst other agreements, the two country's will enter into an aviation pact for code sharing between flag carriers Air India and LAN.
Patil has come to Chile after her visit to Mexico and Brazil, which is India's largest trading partner in South America.
