Boeing says Colombian carrier Avianca to buy 10 787 Dreamliners

New York: Boeing Co said on Wednesday that Colombian air carrier Avianca Airlines has ordered 10 of its 787 Dreamliners. According to Seattle-based Boeing the order is worth about $1.5 billion at list prices.

The order was earlier credited to an unidentified customer on the orders and deliveries  section of its web site. The order also includes options for an additional 10 Dreamliners, the company said in a statement.

The 787 Dreamliner is due to debut in July this year and scheduled for entry into service in 2008.
