Sikorsky delivers three S-92 helicopters to South Korea

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation has delivered three S-92 helicopters to the Korean Air Force, at a handover ceremony held during the ongoing Seoul Air Show. Sikorsky Aircraft is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation.
The S-92 helicopter is equipped to perform a variety of missions including offshore oil transport, head of state and VIP transport, search and rescue, and commercial airline services. The S-92 helicopter fleet recently passed 58,000 total flight hours.
It is the first helicopter in the world certified to the latest US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) safety standards. The S-92 features a rotor ice protection system (RIPS), available on military as well as commercial variants.
