AdAsia 2011 chairman Madhukar Kamath unveils logo, theme for the summit

Madhukar Kamath, chairman, AdAsia 2011 and Group CEO and managing director, Mudra Group on Monday unveiled the logo and theme for AdAsia 2011.

The advertising conference, which will be held in New Delhi during 31 October 31 to 3 November, 2011, centers around  the theme, 'New Certainity', reflecting the fast-changing communications world, Kamath announced.

''Marketing is dead, engagement is in. Similarly, trust is dead, excitement and edginess is in. Uncertainty is the new certainty,'' he said in an official communique. ''Brands are on an experimental spree through multi-layered communication channels right from Twitter, Facebook to mobiles and micro-blogging as the new evolving channels.''

AdAsia 2011 will chronicle the changes and provide a glimpse of impending opportunities and challenges, Kamath added.

The logo for the summit has been created by Mudra Group's design agency, Water. It features multi-cultural motifs on textile from various regions in Asia, depicting the dynamism of the region.

Kamath also announced the advisory board for AdAsia 2011.

The board is chaired by Anand Mahindra, vice-chairperson and managing director, Mahindra & Mahindra and comprises of Aroon Purie, chairperson and editor in chief, The India Today Group; Kurush Grant, executive director, ITC; Manu Anand, chairperson and CEO designate, PepsiCo India; Nitin Paranjpe, CEO, MD and group vice-president, South Asia, Hindustan Unilever; Piyush Pandey, executive chairperson and creative director, South Asia, Ogilvy & Mather; Raghav Bahl, founder and editor, Network18 Media; Ravindra Dhariwal, CEO, Bennett Coleman and Co.; and Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries.

AdAsia makes a return to India after eight years, it was last held in India at Jaipur in 2003.
