Advertising and technology event ad:tech concludes in Delhi

International advertising and technology event, ad:tech made its India debut on 27 March at The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon.
The interactive two-day event saw industry representatives deliberating on the state of digital advertising and communication in India, and key note presentations from Facebook, Google, Yahoo and Unilever representatives.
Some of the other brands, which participated in the event included PepsiCo, Coca Cola, Reliance, SapientNitro, ibibo, Microsoft, D2 Communications, comScore, Jet Airways, Nielsen, MakeMytrip.com, Yatra Online, Conde Nast, ICICI Lombard, Info Edge, Perfetti Van Melle, among several others.
David Fischer, vice president – advertising and global operations, Facebook, said that the social networking website gets 25 million users every month in India.
He also elaborated on how Facebook is offering newer marketing opportunities to advertisers citing examples of brands like Nike, Pepsi among others.
Among the topics discussed at the event were interactive television, mobile advertising and social marketing, dynamics of the client-agency relationship, metrics, and the future of marketing.
Other themes discussed at the event include SEO and SEM strategies, advergaming, location-based services and social commerce.
The India edition of ad:tech was organised by New Delhi-based NetworkPlay Media, in partnership with UK-based DMG Events.
