Bright Outdoor wins BEST tender

BEST buses in Mumbai will now be colourful. Bright Outdoor has won the Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) tender for advertising rights on single and double-decker buses.
The OOH firm has won the tender for the period 2010-13. The others who pitched were Pioneer Publicity, Jagran Engage, Gold Mine Advertising, Sambhav Media and Rajdeep Buildcon.
Industry sources said that second highest bidder was Gold Mine Advertising which had submitted a bid of Rs123 crore, followed by Rajdeep Buildcon at Rs94 crore, Jagran Engage at Rs 87 crore and Pioneer Publicity at Rs67 crore.
According to industry sources, Bright Outdoor has won the tender with a total bid amount of Rs 123.10 crore. Bright Outdoor has invested in over 1,460 hoardings.
Bright Outdoor will now have more than 4,000 single-decker and more than 50 double-decker buses to place ads on. Before Bright Outdoor, Pioneer Publicity owned the ad rights to the buses.
Bright commenced business in 1980 as an outdoor media company and offers railway boards, railway panels, transfer stickers, cinema slides, promos, full train, bus panels, full bus painting, mobile sign truck, kiosks, traffic booth, toll naka, gantry and vinyl screens spread across the length and breadth of Mumbai.
It owns 700 exclusive hoardings in Mumbai Metropolis, at points such as Haji Ali, Bandra, Churchgate, Mahim, Cadel Road, Marine Drive, Worli, Borivili, Juhu, SV Road, Link Road, Chembur and Sion.
The company has branches in Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
