Cannes Lions announces shorlists for Promo & Activation Lions, PR Lions, Direct Lions

The week long Cannes International Advertising Festival, honouring the best in media and advertising worldwide, has begun and the shortlists for Promo & Activation Lions, PR Lions, and Direct Lions have been announced.
Ogilvy India and Bates 141 have been shortlisted in the Promo & Activation Lions category.
Ogilvy's entry is the ''Meltdown campaign'', which targeted the phenomenon of global warming through messages printed on ice-cream sticks.
Bates 141's ''Stolen Signature'' campaign for India Anti-Virus is the other shortlisted entry. It has also been nominated as a shortlist in the Flat Mailing category, Direct Lions.
The other entries in the Direct Lions category include two by McCann and one by Grey Worldwide.
McCann's campaigns ''Enslaved Children'', an anti-child labour initiative and ''Legend Abused'' are nominated in the Dimensional Mailing and Ambient & Print Collateral sub-categories.
Grey Worldwide's work for Ojus Medical Institute titled 'AIDS Mask' is the other shortlist in the Ambient & Print Collateral sub-category.
In the PR category, BBDO India has got a shortlist for Gillette's ''Women against the Lazy Stubble'' campaign.
The winners will be announced later in the day today.
