Google, Airbus to increase brand awareness

In a bid to increase brand awareness and visibility, multinationals brand giants Google and Airbus are now roping in schoolchildren through various contests with major prizes as incentives.
Airbus has teamed up with the National Geographic Society and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) for a photo competition.
The contest is targeted at children between the ages of 6 and 16. With a visit to the National Geographic headquarters in Washington DC as the prize, the 'See the Bigger Picture' contest promises to be a big draw for schoolchildren.
According to the company, the contestant would have to submit a digital colour image that captures the spirit or idea of biodiversity. The picture should show people why biodiversity is a good thing that we should try to preserve, said the company.
With this contest, Airbus and National Geographic aim to raise awareness on biodiversity and the preservation of threatened ecosystems amongst children, families and educators. The contest, which was launched in June, closes on September 8.
Google, too, is targeting the student community.
