Komli Media buys mobile advertiser Zestadz

Venture capital-backed digital advertising and technology start-up Komli Media India Pvt Ltd, yesterday acquired mobile advertising and publishing network, Zestadz, in a bid to gain instant access to the mobile advertising network market.
Based in Los Angeles and with offices in Iowa in the US and in Chennai, Zestadz was founded in 2007 by Asif Ali, Nat Natraj and Terry Uppal.
Zestadz specialises in delivering targeted mobile advertising campaigns to drive brand awareness, generate traffic and leads, and increase purchase intent amongst other options to clients in India, the US, the European Union, Indonesia, South Africa and other parts of South-East Asia.
The company's clients include Ibibo, Bharat Matrimony, Maeglin, Moblying, MSN, Unilever, P&G, Fashionandyou.com and Dealsandyou.com. among others.
It offers ads on feature phones and smartphone platforms including Android, iPhone and Windows Phone 7 SDK. Zestadz says that it currently delivers 5 billion mobile ad impressions globally each month.
Zestadz will be integrated into the mobile division of Komli Media, which is headed by Amit Bhartiya, while Asif Ali will head mobile products.
