Ogilvy & Mather India led the Effies Awards as leading agency at the 2009 Effie Awards in Mumbai. Apart from the three gold, five silver and five bronze awards, Ogilvy India won three other special awards: the Brand Equity Bravery Award, the Marico Uncommon Sense Award and coveted Agency Of The Year award.

Ogilvy's Effie wins totalled 120 points, enough to clinch the title of Effie Agency Of The Year. The No. 2 and No. 3 agencies had 50 and 45 points, respectively.

A particular point of pride for Ogilvy India is the agency won every one of its entries – for seven clients, eight brands and ten campaigns from Ogilvy's Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai offices.

In another note of recogition, Vodafone won Effie Client Of The Year, based on the six Effie wins for Ogilvy's "Zoozoos" campaign.

This past week has been a remarkable week for Ogilvy in India.

Starting with Ogilvy Mumbai winning the Media Office Of The Year trophy in Singapore, followed soon after with the Brand Equity No. 1 Ad Agency Of The Year by the Agency Reckoner, and now the Effie Agency Of The Year award.
