Media buying agency Carat Media has won the media duties for the Indian subsidiary of Danish food major Good Food Group, Scandic Food India, which acquired Sil in March 2008.

Having relaunched Sil last month to include sauces, dressings, baked beans and sweet corn besides jams under the same branding, Scandic now plans to spend Rs10 crore on advertising it through a 360-degree campaign.

On roping in Carat as the media agency for the brand, Ravi Chandra, national sales and marketing manager, Scandic Food India said that Carat holds the right perspective in integrated communications planning along with an understanding of the Indian market and media.

Carat Media is a part of the Aegis Group Plc, the media and market research group, which is the parent company of Aegis Media and Synovate.

Carat's sister concerns, Posterscope, the OOH unit, Isobar, the digital marketing arm, and Carat Fresh, the media activation unit, will also be part of the media solutions for Sil.

The creative duties for Sil are handled by Quadrant Communications.
