The Changi Airport Group has appointed DDB and OMD as its creative and media agencies-of-record in Singapore following a multi-agency pitch.
The account is estimated at S$5 million ($3.5 million). Other agencies involved in the pitch process were over 12 including TBWA, Y&R and McCann Erickson, among others.
DDB will develop and manage through-the-line communications aimed at building corporate branding and harnessing strategic partnerships for the Changi Airport Group and Changi Airport. OMD will take on media planning and buying duties.
Changi Airport Group's division head for marketing and branding, Alan Lee, said: ''We look forward to working with DDB to take the Changi Airport brand to the next level.''
Neil Johnson, chief creative officer of DDB Group Singapore, said that DDB was ''honoured to play a role at this key juncture in creating, building and reinforcing an iconic Singapore brand experience''.
The Omnicom agency's first task would be to look into branding efforts for the company.
In mid-July, Changi Airport Group named Tribal DDB as its digital agency-of-record to handle its online marketing and communications.
