Singapore-based social media marketing agency, Vocanic today announced that it has bagged several new clients and expanded its network with two international offices to address the growing demand for social media services.
Besides its existing operations in Singapore, Vocanic has now expanded its presence into Malaysia and Hong Kong to service local clients.
''Over the last six months, we have seen increasing interest from brands in all things social. They are now beginning to either experiment initially or wholeheartedly integrate social media into broader outreach campaigns,'' said Ian McKee, CEO of Vocanic.
Vocanic's new clients include Digi Malaysia Youth Campaign, Singapore's Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), SAFRA, and Tourism Australia.
As StarHub's social media agency of record, Vocanic has also undertaken projects for La Liga, Star Movies, the launch of Nokia X3, as well as some of StarHub's youth campaigns.
McKee added, ''Our teams are currently working on projects that range from developing brand strategies for social media, to fan acquisition and activation across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare - integrating both online and mobile.
''This is a huge shift from 2009 when it was largely technology-related firms who were keen to experiment with social media, now a whole spectrum of brands are looking at social media to part of the mainstream marketing mix.
In order to service the requirements of its growing client roster, Vocanic has doubled its headcount to 24. Among the new recruits include Shreeniwas Venkatesan Iyer as the head of technology. Iyer was previously technical team lead at Yahoo! Southeast Asia.
Vocanic, incorporated in 2005, works with brands to develop strategy, and combines this with technology platforms that support the delivery of the strategy.
