The new Bajaj promotes a cat fight
24 Feb 2009
The television commercial begins like a computer game. Two slick young girls (who, it later turns out, are siblings) dressed in black tights are at each others throats, leaving the viewer guessing why.
As they keep fighting, one of them finally suceeds in locking the other in the bathroom and runs out to meet her boyfriend for the ride of her life on a Bajaj XCD 135 DTS Si bike.
Hardly a reason to beat up your sister, even if the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS Si bike promises the ride of a life time. See: Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si, first in a series of six to be launched this year
The ride promotes cool features such as a five- speed gear box and front disc brakes, not to mention enough chutzpah to have the ladies craving for a pillion ride, considering that it is a mid-segment bike.
Prakash Varma of Nirvana Films worked on the film.
The ad was shot over three days in Film City. The stunts were choreographed by Huan-Chiu Ku, who has choreographed for Quentin Tarantino directed Kill Bill. Closer home, Ku has also choreographed for the Hindi movie, Chandni Chowk to China.
The campaign will also include print, radio, on-ground activation and the internet.
