Public relations firm, Weber Shandwick, has been named 'International Consultancy of the Year' at the annual PRWeek UK Awards in London.
The firm was recognised for its strong 12-month performance, continued new business growth and its operations in virtually every major media, government and business center on six continents.
PRWeek's judging panel chair, Ian Wright, corporate relations director at Diageo said, "A great year for Weber Shandwick, littered with awards, blue chip international clients and a remarkable business performance."
"I am delighted with this recognition, particularly in light of the difficult year the PR industry has been faced with. It is a true reflection of our talented professionals and loyal clients across our global network," said Colin Byrne, UK & Europe CEO, Weber Shandwick.
"2009 has turned out to be our most award-winning year in Europe ever and we all have a lot to be proud of."
The award continues on the heels of Weber Shandwick's impressive award success in 2009, which includes a PRWeek UK Global Agency Report Card gold medal, a Cannes Lion award and an IPRA Golden World award.
