Weber Shandwick voted as agency of the year
14 Oct 2009
Among the world's leading public relations agencies, Weber Shandwick, has been voted Malaysia's Public Relations Agency of the Year 2009 in a recent online poll, conducted by media magazine Advertising + Marketing.
The poll aims to ascertain and document the agencies that senior marketers in Malaysia would most likely shortlist and hire across major agency disciplines - creative, media planning and buying, direct marketing, digital, public relations, brand consulting and market research.
Weber Shandwick received a strong preference rating from client marketers, beating all competitors to receive gold in the PR category.
This accolade follows on the heels of an impressive year of recognitions for Weber Shandwick including being named PRWeek's 2009 Global Agency Report Card gold medal winner, global agency of the year by The Holmes Report, large PR firm of the year by PR News, and winning the inaugural Cannes Lions Award for "best PR-led integrated campaign."
In Asia Pacific, local offices in Australia and Singapore have also received "Agency of the Year" accolades in the past 12 months.
Rozani Jainudeen, general manager of Weber Shandwick Malaysia shared her excitement, "This is a wonderful recognition to receive from the industry. It is also a testament to our long-standing service and dedication to our clients whom are an integral part of this achievement."
