Häagen-Dazs opens second shop in Delhi
15 Oct 2010
General Mills India has opened its second flagship Häagen-Dazs shop at the terminal-3 of Indira Gandhi international airport in Delhi.
Passengers will be treated to the best and most delectable offerings from Häagen-Dazs along with international ambience, the company said in a release.
"Our first shop at Select Citywalk Mall in Saket, New Delhi, received a phenomenal response and we are greatly buoyed by its success,'' said Arindam Haldar, Director, General Mills India. ''With renewed commitment of providing our customers an unparallel dessert experience, we are launching our second shop at Terminal 3, IGI Airport.''
The premium American ice-cream maker had run into lot of criticism whilst opening its first store in New Delhi. Its teaser campaign bearing the words, 'Entry restricted only to holders of international passports' had drawn flak, with few Indians also being denied entry into the store, and the company having to apologize on the first day itself.
