Lipton’s jumbo jigsaw challenge enters record books

Hindustan Unilever's packaged tea maker Lipton Yellow Label Tea has announced the entry of it's jigsaw puzzle into the World Record Books for being 'The World's Largest Online Collaborated Jigsaw Challenge'.
The endeavor was an attempt to put India on the sharpest thinkers map and saw the twelve top scorers, along with Royce McClure, the jigsaw image designer, and Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma come together at the culmination of the week long puzzle-solving activity in physical space.
The online jigsaw puzzle has gained entry into the prestigious Limca Book of Records for being the biggest online jigsaw. Additionally, the record has also gained entry to the World Records Academy, which chronicles some of the most spectacular records from all over the world. The record making spree started on the 22 April this year, with the puzzle being made available on the website until 30 June 2009.
The last day of the exciting week long activity saw the 12 top scorers along with Royce McClure and actress Konkona Sen Sharma, jointly, complete the offline version of the puzzle amidst much fanfare at Delhi's Select City Walk Mall, Saket. In a short span of eight weeks, the challenge launched by Lipton Yellow Label Tea brought approximately 186,756 of the country's sharpest, put together the pieces. For the first time, a challenge of such stature and pride urged the people of the country to come together to leave their footprints in history.
